  • Consumer Users: Individuals who use the Zivero mobile app to discover and redeem deals
  • Business Users: Business owners and staff who use the Zivero web platform to create and manage deals

SECTION A: INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1. CONSUMER USERS (Mobile App)

1.1 Personal Identity Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Full Name (First and Last Name)
  • Nickname (publicly visible on reviews)
  • Email Address (used as unique identifier)
  • Phone Number (for verification purposes)
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth (for age restriction verification)
  • Avatar/Profile Picture (optional)

1.2 Location Data

  • Home City: Stored in your profile, either detected during signup or manually selected
  • GPS Coordinates: Used to detect your city during signup and in real-time to filter nearby deals within your selected radius (up to 100km). If enabled, GPS may also be used for background location alerts.

1.3 Preferences

  • Interests: Categories and subcategories you select
  • Notification Settings: Preferences for New Deals alerts, Expiry reminders, and Quiet Hours
  • Search Radius: Your preferred distance setting (1km to 100km)

1.4 Behavioral and Usage Data

  • Views: When you open a deal details screen
  • Clicks: When you tap "Call," "Maps," or "Website" on a business profile
  • Saves: Deals you add to your Wallet/Favorites
  • Redemptions: When you activate and scan a coupon
  • Reviews: Ratings and comments you leave for businesses

1.5 Device and Technical Information

  • Device type and model
  • Operating system version
  • App version
  • Device identifiers (for analytics and security)
  • Crash logs and performance data

2. BUSINESS USERS (Web Platform)

2.1 Representative / Account Data

  • Full Name (First and Last Name) of the business owner or manager
  • Business Email (used for login and notifications)
  • Phone Number
  • Role (for internal permission management)

2.2 Business Entity Information

  • Legal Name: Official registered company name
  • Brand Name: Public-facing name displayed to consumers
  • VAT / Registration Number: Tax ID for invoicing and legal verification
  • Legal Entity Type (e.g., LLC, Sole Proprietorship)
  • Website URL
  • Social Media Links (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)

2.3 Location and Operations

  • Headquarters Address: Street address, city, postal code, and country
  • GPS Coordinates: Latitude/Longitude for map display
  • Operating Hours: Opening and closing times for each day of the week

2.4 Financial Data

  • Billing Information: Payment and invoice history (payments processed via Stripe; we store transaction references only, not full payment card details)
  • Credit Balance: Current balance of Deal Credits or prepaid funds

2.5 Content and Staff

  • Deal Content: Images, descriptions, terms, and conditions for coupons you create
  • Staff Members: Names and email addresses of staff authorized to scan coupons

3. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY (All Users)

When you access our Services, we automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version (web platform)
  • Pages visited and features used
  • Date and time of access
  • Referring URLs
  • Crash reports and error logs

SECTION B: HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

1. FOR CONSUMER USERS

  • Account Management: Create and maintain your account, verify identity, provide support
  • Service Delivery: Display relevant deals based on location, interests, and preferences
  • Personalization: Customize your experience with tailored content

2. FOR BUSINESS USERS

  • Account Management: Create and maintain your business account, verify identity
  • Service Delivery: Enable you to create, publish, and manage deals
  • Analytics and Reporting: Provide performance metrics on your deals (views, saves, redemptions)
  • Billing: Process payments, generate invoices, manage credit balances
  • Communication: Send notifications about account activity, billing, and platform updates
  • Staff Management: Allow authorized staff to scan and validate coupons

3. FOR ALL USERS

  • Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Legal Compliance: Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
  • Service Improvement: Analyze usage to improve features and user experience

SECTION C: HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

1. BETWEEN CONSUMERS AND BUSINESSES

When a consumer redeems a deal or leaves a review:

  • Businesses receive: Consumer's nickname, redemption confirmation, review content and rating
  • Consumers receive: Business name, location, contact information, and deal details

2. AGGREGATED ANALYTICS

We provide businesses with anonymized, aggregated data about their deals:

  • Total views, clicks, saves, and redemptions
  • General demographic trends (no individual identification)

3. SERVICE PROVIDERS

We share information with third-party providers who assist us with:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure (data storage)
  • Payment processing (Stripe)
  • Push notification delivery
  • Analytics and performance monitoring
  • Email communication services

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

4. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

We may disclose your information:

  • To comply with legal obligations
  • In response to lawful requests by public authorities

5. BUSINESS TRANSFERS

  • Deal content retained for the duration of your account plus a reasonable archive period

After account deletion, we may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal claims).

2. MOBILE APP

The mobile app does not use browser cookies. We use:

SECTION H: LOCATION AND NOTIFICATIONS

1. LOCATION (Mobile App)

  • Foreground Location: Used when the app is open to show nearby deals
  • Background Location (Optional): If enabled, sends notifications about nearby deals when the app is closed

Managing location permissions:

  • iOS: Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Zivero
  • Android: Settings > Apps > Zivero > Permissions > Location

2. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS (Mobile App)

Notification types:

  • New Deals: Alerts about offers matching your interests
  • Expiry Reminders: Notifications before saved deals expire
  • Quiet Hours: We respect your defined quiet hours

Manage notifications in the app settings or your device settings.

3. EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS (Business Platform)

Business users receive emails about:

  • Account activity and security
  • Billing and payment confirmations
  • Deal performance summaries
  • Platform updates and announcements

You can manage email preferences in your account settings.

SECTION I: CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Zivero is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete such information promptly.

SECTION J: INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
  • Data processing agreements with all service providers
